If you’re trying to find someone famous to connect with, you’re in the wrong place. For us mere mortals, this is the place I had always wished existed.
Listed here are the responses of regular people who were friendly and open enough to answer these deep, thought-provoking questions.
I reached out to all these people personally. Most everyone else I contacted either ignored me or chose to not participate. This is great for you because now you know that the people who do show up here are absolutely incredible human beings. These are all people who I would want to have in my life—especially when it comes to making music.
In my experience the hardest part about making music with someone has nothing to do with making the music at all; the hardest part is being comfortable and friendly enough with someone so that great music has the opportunity to even be created in the first place.
I think it’s important to find someone who feels the same about those deep topics as you do—the topics that define our individual ethics and morality. When you find those people, I believe music can happen. Even more important, when you find those people, I believe friendship can happen.
The hardest part about making music is finding someone to make it with who is just like you. It is my sincere hope that you can find that person here.
If you’re not looking to connect with anyone then I hope you’ll still appreciate the wealth of perspectives and extraordinary musicianship put on display by all of these incredible people.
